70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights Place du Trocadéro, Paris

Théâtre National de Chaillot

A choreography of light for the celebration of Human Rights.

For the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, ”Chaillot - Théâtre national de la Danse” commissioned ATHEM to design a show based on a circle of light, an original concept of the artist Charles Fréger. At dusk, a circle of light is projected onto the square, its colour, diameter and position changing. A sound composition by Teho Teardo accompanies the dancing disk of light projected onto the ground and invites visitors to enter the space within the circle. The light interacts with the audience, encouraging them to join in with the living form and follow its beats.
