AN ALCHEMY OF IMAGES FOR «GAUGUIN L’ALCHIMISTE»
Paul Gauguin based his art on the repetition of themes and patterns. That creative process underlines the exhibition devoted to the artist, “Gauguin l'alchimiste” (Gauguin the alchemist), organised by RMN-Grand Palais with the Art Institute of Chicago and the Orsay and Orangerie museums.
A colorful scenography
So it was only natural for ATHEM to showcase the process in its lighting of the Grand Palais. A magnificent outdoor display uses Gauguin's art to show how his work developed throughout his entire astonishing career.
