“L’Usine Extraordinaire” (The Extraordinary Factory) event at the Grand Palais in Paris showcases the industries in France that innovate and produce. Inventing, manufacturing, connecting, sharing, that is the tour offered to the public to highlight excellence and expertise as well as stimulate new career interests amongst young people. For the event, ATHEM re-enchants the world of the factory through an entertaining video mapping, transforming the Grand Palais into a modern, transparent and human factory open to the world. The result of late 19th – and early 20th – century industrialisation, the Grand Palais not only bears witness to past French industrial development but also, by hosting this exhibition, becomes a showcase for the factory of the future
