France celebrates 100 days to go until the 2023 Rugby World Cup
To kick off the countdown to the opening match between France and New Zealand, Atelier ATHEM staged a projection on the Arc de Triomphe on behalf of Havas, a communications agency, using JAMION technology. The animation was adapted so that it could be projected simultaneously in all of the host cities and was also broadcast live on social media and at a special event held at the Samaritaine department store.
A video projection blending rotoscoping and motion design
To help produce this original video, the studio drew on archive footage from previous World Cups, recreating it using rotoscoping and motion design. The video includes historic moments from the competition, players, supporters from the participating nations and the 10 host cities of France 2023, all the while highlighting the unifying power of rugby.
